10 Magical Ways to Reuse Your Potion Liquids from The Little Potion Co

It's a question we get asked all the time, what can we do with our magical potion liquids after we've done our potion making?

The magic does't have to stop with the act of potion making and the recite of our magical spells.. there are endless ideas you can do.

Here are our top  enchanting ways to repurpose those mystical elixirs.

1. Bottle Them Up for Future Spells: Store the leftover potion liquids in small bottles or vials. Label them with their magical properties and keep them in your potion cabinet for future potion making. Helpful Tip: Seive out any flowers and natural elements so that your stored potions last longer.

2. Freeze for Sensory Play: Pour the liquids into ice cube trays and freeze them. Once frozen, these magical ice cubes can be used for sensory play, melting into a new potion as they thaw.

3. Anoint a Favourite Toy: Use a drop of the potion liquid to anoint a beloved toy, infusing it with magical properties. For example, a drop of courage potion on a teddy bear can make it a brave guardian for nighttime adventures.

3. Sweet Dream Spells: Place the liquid and a few drops of your favourite essential oil or fragrant oil into a spray bottle. Before bedtime, spray a few sprinkles around the room to ward off nightmares and ensure sweet dreams.

4. Calming Bottle: Mix the potion liquid with a few drops of glycerin in a clear bottle. Seal it tightly and shake it to create a mesmerising calming bottle, perfect for mindful moments when a little magic is needed to soothe the soul.

5. Potion Lava Lamp: Create a magical lava lamp by filling a clear bottle with water, adding a layer of oil on top, and then pouring in a few drops of your potion liquid. Watch as the potion creates enchanting blobs that float and dance like a lava lamp.

6. Magical Garden Soup: Encourage outdoor play by using the potion liquids to make a magical garden soup. Provide a large pot, some water, and let the kids add leaves, flowers, and a few drops of potion to create their own bewitching brew.

7.Garden Paper: Mix the potion liquid with water and torn-up pieces of paper. Blend the mixture to create a pulp, then spread it out on a screen to dry. Once dry, you'll have magical garden paper, infused with the essence of your potion, perfect for writing spells or drawing magical creatures.

9. Crafting Magical Amulets: Mix the leftover potion liquid with cornflour or plaster of Paris to create a mouldable substance. Pour the mixture into a mould shaped like your favourite symbol or charm to create a magical amulet. Once it dries, you can paint or decorate it to enhance its mystical properties. This amulet can be carried or placed in a special spot to attract positive energy or ward off negative vibes.

10. Designing Enchanted Potion Bottles: Transform empty bottles into magical potion containers by decorating them with labels, wax seals, and your favourite charms. Attach pieces of bark, dried moss, or other nature finds to give them an earthy, mystical look. Fill the bottles with leftover potion liquids, and arrange them on a shelf or in a special corner to create a captivating display of your magical creations.

With these ideas, the magic of your potion-making adventures can continue long after the potions are brewed. Let your imagination run wild and see what other enchanting uses you can conjure up for your leftover potion liquids!
