EASTER INSPIRED ACTIVITIES 2025

2025 Term 1 of school is quickly coming to an end here in Australia, so we thought we would share some egg-citing activities your little magic makers can do to fill in time during these school holidays.

We know it can be difficult to keep busy little minds occupied, so we have tried to take some of the overwhelm out of the activity planning process and have listed a bunch of activities below:

DIY Nature Nests:

  • You will need some paper or plastic dessert bowls and some craft glue (adult supervision required for children aged 5 and under).

  • As a family, take a nature walk to collect things like twigs, leaves, barks, flowers, petals.

  • Once you have collected your nature finds, use the craft glue to stick your finds to the inside and outside of the bowl, covering it to the best of your abilities to make it look like a nest. Leave for 24 hours for the glue to dry completely.

  • Now you have the perfect little nest to collect easter eggs!

Paper Plate Bunny Masks:

  • Using paper plates, craft glue/a stapler/scissors (adult supervision required for children aged 5 and under), create some bunny ears from paper and attach them to your plate, cut out some eye holes and attach some elastic to create your mask. A great one for pretend play!

Tip: you could stick some cotton balls to your mask to make yourself look more like a fluffy bunny.

Backyard Bunny Hop Races:

  • Set up a start and finish line, you could get a little creative and get your little magic makers to draw and design their own start and finish line flags out of paper. If you have some string, you could even make some bunting to define the start and finish line.

DIY Easter Cards:

  • Another creative activity for your little magic makers, make your own Easter cards to gift to family and friends!

  • Have your little ones draw and design their own Easter theme cards, you could get crafty and cut out some eggs from scrapbooking paper to have them be all different patterns, or let your imagination run free and draw your own patterns on plain paper to cut shapes out of to stick on your cards.

If you love the sound of the above activities, but don’t have the time to organise all of the elements, then you may wish to download our FREE Easter activity guide. We have included some templates to make things a little easier for the grown ups. Simply download the PDF and print it off for your little ones to colour in and get creative!

Wishing you a joyful and hoppy Easter!

Love from the team at TLPC
